2008 Chardonnay, Arroyo Seco
Aromas of stone-fruit mingle with notes of Meyer lemon, orange blossom and struck-stone mineral characteristics in the glass. Well balanced, the palate shows creamy textures yet is crisp and clean with a long finish.
90 points - International Wine Review, October 2011: "The 2008 Chardonnay reveals pleasant aromas of ripe melon and tropical fruit on the nose. On the palate, it offers ripe fruit flavors with toasted oak and vanilla. It has a creamy mouth feel, is nicely balanced with fresh acidity, and has a lingering finish."
90 points - Wine Enthusiast, August 2010: "Good price for an upscale Chardonnay this rich and interesting. It’s oaky, with vanilla and buttered toast flavors, but the underlying pineapple and Meyer lemon fruit easily supports the wood, while brisk, refreshing acidity provides balance."
